Free Ukulele Workshops for Primary Teachers and PGCE Trainees

Hi everyone, Many new teachers enter into primary teaching with little or no music skill or knowledge. The Ukulele offers an alternative to the traditional recorder. It is easy and fast to learn (even with no musical knowledge), the instruments are cheap, you can play full songs after a very short time - keeping childrens attention and it is a great stepping stone up to the guitar later on. It is also a bit 'cooler' than the recorder and may get more boys interested in playing an instrument at an early age. We are offering completely free Ukulele workshops where our teacher will come to your course location (uni or college) and give a 2 hour workshop, and show how easily you can learn the Ukulele and then go on to teach it when you manage your own classes. We will bring all the equipment to you, so you dont have to worry about a thing. If you are interested, please contact me (Laura Newmarch) at laura.newmarch@musicsales.co.uk Hurry though as we are limited to a certain number of workshops per year! I would be interested to know your own thoughts on introducing instruments at primary level. Do get in touch! Thanks Laura
