Our diverse, practical one-day workshops are for everyone - whether you've never sung a note or you'd like some fresh ideas, we've got something for you.
Led by some of the nation's best singing leaders, the Sing Up Training Programme will enable to you refresh and bring your teaching to life, providing you with skills you can apply to teaching all subjects. The courses are relevant to anyone working with primary-aged children.
Ten set training days will be available in the 9 regions across England throughout the academic year delivered by our best trainers, including our 3 Sing Up Advocates - Lin Marsh, Sue Hollingworth and Jason Singh. This top quality training covers particular subjects (e.g. vocal health, transitions, choirs and singing in the primary curriculum) suiting all levels of experience. Each training day will run between 10 am and 4 pm with lunch and will take place in venues around your region.
The first wave of dates have today been made available for booking immediately, with many more being added all the time. Here's a taster of what we've got on offer:
Jason Singh - Beatboxing and the Power of the Human Voice: Always wanted to have a go at Beatboxing and didn't realise you could use it in the classroom? This mind-blowing session is for you - it's suitable for anybody, no matter the experience, so give it a go!
Lin Marsh - Going for Quality: This practical workshop, ideal for those already leading singing, explores tone, articulation, vowels and vocal timbre. Lin will also give you some fantastic rehearsal techniques to improve your group's performance.
Michael Harper - Talking Technique: This one-day introductory workshop aims to increase confidence and vocal skills and is particularly relevant for teachers with less experience at leading singing activities. It covers how the voice works, body and voice awareness, use of the voice in the classroom for speaking and singing and general vocal health.
