Brass syllabus launched

Victoria College of Music, London is pleased to announce the launch of it's new brass playing syllabus. Completely overhauled and with many new additions to the repertoire that have proven popular with teachers. In addition there have been several new pathways opened up at diploma level and a seperate pathway for Bass Trombone from Grade 6 upwards. A Platinum Medal has also been established at the top of the medal series for performers who prefer a more recital based approach to assessment.

As part of it's ongoing revision to reflect new material and approaches, VCM is currently also revising it's popular woodwind syllabus, as well as the speech and drama examinations it offers. Singing is also being revised in-line with the recently released musical theatre pathway.
Finally, maintaing it's firm commitment to more unusual instruments VCM is in the final stages of preparing a much revised and enlarged ukulele syllabus to cater for this popular instrument. It is believed that VCM is unique in being the only examining body to offer graded exams in this field, as well as in ocarina an mandolin.
