Conference for Music Teachers (and teachers in training), Children and Young People at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge.
Saturday 6th March 2010

This is a day for teachers, children and young people to think about talking and listening, creating dialogue, and learning together how to make a better music education in school.

This is not a conference about how to respond to the latest Ofsted Report, how to plan for the Creative Area of learning at Key Stage 2, how to manage ‘periodic assessment’, adopt Musical Features, hit targets or ‘level’ children.

Instead, we will be looking at what lies at the heart of education: the relationship between the teacher and the pupil and what they together are learning and becoming.
