Transition/Bridging Unit and Materials on Sound and Silence

This unit is a great deal of fun and ideal for engaging the year 6 to 7 age group upwards. Although set out here with the assistance of Logic the work can be done equally with other sequencing programs or even analogue recording. If you use this and improve things (it is not the finished article) I would be very interested to hear back from you.

The avi file below is the exact (silent) video clip referred to, used because so many different actions happen in the 90 seconds.
The second clip is a low-quality, slightly out of sync rendering of a student example.

Have fun!

How have you used Foley or "found sound" to develop students awareness, knowledge and skills in music and listening?
